RemARKable Holiday Madness Blog Tour - Post 4

Who doesn't like chocolate?  Today I have a quick way to wrap up a bar chocolate into a nice gift.

 

This takes just a 1/2 sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock wheeled in Craft Whisper White ink with the Sassy Sparkles jumbo wheel.  Then I scored the card stock at 4 1/2" and 5", added a few brads and a piece of ribbon to turn a bar of chocolate into a wonderful gift.  Of course, I had to bling it up a little!  I used the new Glitter Brads and I added a ruffle made from the Metallic Gold Waffle Paper both from the Holiday Mini.  The Pear Pizazz card stock and ribbon coordinate beautifully with the gold waffle paper! To give it some dimension I also used the Snowflake Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Die again.  This die is turning out to be very useful!  It's hard to see from the picture but I also gave everything a sponging with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.  The tag is from the Tags Til Christmas set in the Holiday Mini.

If you don't like chocolate this could easily be used for licorice sticks, candy canes, honey sticks, even pens or pencils.  The possibilities are endless!

RemARKable Holiday Madness Blog Tour - Day 2

The holiday season always brings charity and fund raising bake sales, so I made a quick tag to dress up those bake sale items.

 

I kept it simple so that it could be mass produced easily.  I used the Homemade single stamp and cut it up into a few layers to add some dimension.  I also added some bling with Dazzling Diamond glitter on the cupcakes frosting and Gold Lame Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink dots.  It's so easy to cut out using the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch.  I added a strip of Daffodil Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and attached it to our Mini Lunch Sack with a Flower Brad.   Easy Peasy!  

The Mini Lunch Sacks are nice and thick and should hold up nicely at your bake sale.  They are wonderful for decorating because the seam is hidden in a fold and they come with that wonderful scalloped edge.

Chalkboard Message Board

We had a lot of fun at our Dinner, Champagne & Crafting event Friday evening.  Randi cooked a wonderful dinner then we made 2 projects.  We finished the evening with a glass of bubbly.  We had so much fun, I forgot to take pictures!  Everyone agreed that it was nice way to kiss winter goodbye and say hello to spring.  Hopefully, you can join us next time!

Our first project was this cute chalkboard message board using Chalkboard Décor Elements Vinyl, On Board Long Board chipboard , Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Rich Razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon and scraps of card stock for the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch and chalk holder box.  I cut the Chalkboard Décor Elements Vinyl with the Top Note bigz die and the Big Shot.  As usual, the Big Shot cut it like butta!  Each message board uses 1/2 sheet of the On Board Long Board.  It was a simple process of gluing the DSP to the chipboard with our glue stick (works best for chip board), adhering the Chalkboard Décor Elements Vinyl after peeling off the backing.  Then we added ribbon in the corner to hold coupons, business cards or even love notes!  We made a little box to hold the chalk and attached that with Sticky Strip.  Then we punched birds and leaves with the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch.  We added a little shimmer to the bird with shimmer spray I made from our Frost White Simmer Paint mixed with alcohol.  Then punched hols with the Crop-A-Dile and added ribbon for hanging.  Everyone loved them!  The Chalkboard Décor Elements Vinyl works quite well, just wipe it clean with a tissue or paper towel.  Here is a close up of the shimmery bird, and the chalk holder box.  You can click on the pictures for a larger close-up.

     

We also made a card using the same DSP, the new Chat Room Rub-Ons from the Occasions mini and the flower from the Three Little Words stamp set.  We colored the flower using the In Colors Stampin' Write Markers, punched it out using the 1 1/4" circle punch, then a 1 3/8" circle of Crushed Curry and a scalloped circle punch of Melon Mambo.  The card base is also Crushed Curry - I absolutely love Crushed Curry!  I chose Happy Mother's Day for the rub-on.  I hope Mom isn't reading this post!  :-)
